What we do...
We are a design and consultancy firm undertaking design and construction management services across the whole range of building types.
From ‘small’ alterations and refurbishments to completely new large scale assignments of houses, lake side cottages, apartments, office buildings, warehouses and schools for private companies, government institutions and individual clients.
We were registered as Consulting Architects with the National Construction Industry Council of Malawi (NCIC) in 2009.
How we do it...
As a young and dynamic team, we approach every project with an open and fresh mind. We take into account that every project is uniquely different from another. With the experience that we have acquired over the years we strive to “produce” a project that is of value to the Client and also the end user. At space + time we believe that the building should not only bear our “signature” but that it should also register our client’s habits and desires and be able to adapt to growth and change while preserving the memory of their design. With this belief, we always involve our clients at every stage of the design process for their input and guidance.

Experienced in construction and design, Khumbo is the Managing Architect, with vast knowledge in different architectural fields. Loves to coordinate the team and selection of all 3rd party contractors and supervising them.

The art of crafting well-thought-out designs is made successful by the relationship we forge with each of our clients.
We also strive to minimize the environmental impact of our designs since designing with the environment in mind is no longer an intellectual or academic issue, but a moral as well as ethical issue. As such we work hard to make sure that our planning, designing, specification and construction process management does not contribute to the further devastation of the environment. We do not want our designs to hurt the environment in which they are built whether in the short or long term. Architecture should at worst learn to co-exist with the natural environment and at best submit to the requirements of the natural environment.
